March 2024: What’s New at BentoBox?

The BentoBox Marketing & Commerce Platform is always getting better. Check out what’s new this month, and see how your restaurant can create even more powerful hospitality experiences.

1. Samsung Restaurant Kiosk powered by BentoBox

Self-ordering kiosks are now launched for Clover POS customers. Features include connections with back-of-house printers and KDS, custom modifications on menus, customized branding, and the ability to support both in-person dining and to-go orders.

2. Events Management Calendar View

The number one requested Events Management feature is finally here! You can now see a list and calendar view of your private event inquiries and upcoming booked events. When looking at the calendar, the default view will be the current month with today’s date circle. Plus, you can also easily export booked events to Google Calendar. This update will especially help restaurants prepare for managing private events later in the year during the 2024 holiday season.

3. Events Management Fee Enhancement

There is a 1% convenience fee that is added to all events processed through Events Management. Now, you are able to select whether this fee is paid by your guests, or if you elect to pay this.

4. Undo Orders for Online Catering

This update allows users to undo an Online Catering order on the diner’s front-end view. Once a customer has placed their order, there will be a very short window for them to undo their order to accommodate any last minute changes or substitutions.

5. Online Catering SMS Notification Controls

When an Online Catering order is placed, guests will automatically receive an SMS confirmation text as well as follow up notifications about their order status. If you would prefer that your customers do not receive these texts for any reason, you can now toggle those off.

6. Online Ordering Search Bars

Search bar functionality for Online Ordering menus that display 20+ items is improved to recognize misspellings and variations of dish names, so diners don’t have to search for an exact match. These search features are now available for Takeout & Delivery and Online Catering customers.
